Gulf1 Company Limited (GULF1), part of Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF), continues to support the use of clean energy. The company recently signed an agreement with Bravo BKK shopping mall in the heart of the Rama 9 area to install solar panels on more than 7,500 square meters of its rooftop. The system is expected to have a power capacity of up to 1.7 megawatts, helping Bravo BKK reduce its energy costs by at least 15% per year and lower its carbon dioxide emissions.
This partnership shows GULF’s commitment to helping business customers reach their sustainability goals through rooftop solar projects. It also supports GULF’s goal of increasing renewable energy to more than 40% of its total power generation capacity and reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
Ms. Amnuayporn Prakobnopparat, Managing Director of GULF1 and Executive Vice President, Solar Power Business, at Gulf Development Public Company Limited, spoke about the project:
“We are very pleased to help Bravo BKK achieve its environmental goals. With our experience in installing solar power systems for industrial and commercial customers, we can install, manage, and maintain Bravo BKK’s solar power system to keep it working at its best throughout the 15-year period.
“The mall’s 7,500-square-meter rooftop has enough space for a solar system with a capacity of up to 1.7 megawatts. We believe this project will help Bravo BKK save more than 15% on its annual electricity costs while reducing carbon dioxide emissions. In addition to serving business customers, GULF1 also offers home solar installation services under the ‘Wan Athit’ brand, which launched in early 2025.”
